I needed to be alone with myself and I decided to walk around in the mall. Not exactly alone but I could move everyone else to the background and think. After all it is always interesting to just watch people. Without being critical, just observing.

My two favourite stores are around the corner from each other. The first is The fitness freak bookstore and there you will find everything from How Eating Breakfast Makes You Thinner to the 10 Best Butt Exercises. I have to be honest, though, the reason I go there is not the literary value of the books but Amanda, the amazing woman behind the counter.

I walked in and started looking around. " Thinner Thighs: Exercises That'll Work! "Doesn't seem like you need that", Amanda said while making a point of checking out my butt. "Just looking," I said placing the book down, "The sign on the door: Clearance, Clearance, Clearance, lured me in. Is there anything worthwhile in here?" Apart from the staff I continued the sentence in my head. Amanda was about four inches shorter than myself. She had big black expressive eyes and thick black curly hair. You could tell she worked out a lot from her toned legs. "Do you work out a lot?", I asked. "I try", she said going back to her counter where she was preparing a banner for the store that read: Are You Ready For Halloween? "I think I am going to head out", I said. She smiled and winked promisingly.

That's all I needed! To start thinking about what might be. I tried to ignore my thoughts and moved on to my second favourite store, Electronics R Us which had the following sign on the door: The New iPod Nano - Yours 4Free. Right just as free as the FreePlasmaTV last month… If you buy a bazillion dollars worth of gadgets and gizmos you don't need, or ever will need, you will get a free TV. I walked around a bit, checked out the iPod Nano, but the thought would not leave my mind. I walked straight out and went back to the bookstore to buy Thinner Thighs: Exercises That'll Work!
